Real Estate Staging
I became a realtor during my transition from California to North Carolina, which brought about so many changes in my life that I thought I should try something new. As I took the next step in my journey, I decided to help others take theirs also, whether it was finding their dream home, or helping a family sell their home.
Bringing my knowledge of design along with me as a part of my real estate career was an easy choice. After all, my ability to design and stage my own properties is the reason I found so much success selling them. I have always believed that if you “take care of your real estate, your real estate will take care of you.”
My love of interior design in every shape and form has set the stage for another way I can help people.

This family had lovely furnishings. The staging effort was a matter of editing the furniture and artwork, and pulling together bed linens that complemented each bedroom.

Although this home was beautifully maintained and updated by the owner, at only 1480 square feet of living space, I knew I needed to find a way to make the outdoor space feel like another living area. The homeowner received multiple offers, including three that requested the outdoor furniture as part of the deal. That is a great measure of success in my book!

This mid-century modern home was beautifully maintained and although it had lovely furnishings, some strategic editing was needed. When a home is occupied, staging is most often an act of editing and adjusting a few items to make the home shine. Letting buyers imagine themselves and their belongings in the home is the goal of every staging effort.

Pricing Packages
Placing furniture strategically can make all the difference in making a house feel like a home.
Staging consultation: $250. Includes an in-person meeting with on-site adjustments and a follow-up “recap/checklist” for the homeowner and the agent. Lamps, throw pillows, blankets, shower curtains, vases, faux fruit, flowers, artwork, and plants are available if required. All items can be borrowed for use in photos and during showings and open houses. Once the home is under contract, the items will be collected.
Staging consultation with minimal furniture for completion: $500. If the homeowner is moving locally and leaving behind a few furnishings and decorative items, we can provide furnishings to complete the look, such as lounge chairs, end tables, area rugs, bedding, lamps, throw pillows, blankets, shower curtains, vases, faux fruit, flowers, artwork, and plants. Consultation includes a meeting with the homeowner to determine a plan that includes a combination of their furniture and mine. Furnishings are picked up once the home is under contract. Photos of available furnishings are available upon request.
Furnishing a vacant home: When furniture is requested for a vacant home, there is a monthly per-piece price. This consultation will include a conversation about the homeowner’s needs to determine the best path forward for marketing the home, and how to keep the staging costs within a desired budget.
